Handmade to order in our Nottinghamshire workshop from solid ash or oak, each Convertable is built for everyday use and made to last.

The Convertable moves effortlessly through four positions to suit everything from relaxed coffee and conversation to family meals and entertaining.

The Convertable is made using traditional furniture-making techniques, with every detail carefully considered.

The finger joints on the connecting frame showcase the quality of the construction, while the carefully matched grain patterns across the table tops demonstrate the care and attention that goes into every piece.

Even the details you might not immediately notice have been designed with purpose. The distinctive triangular feet help keep the table firm and secure across a variety of floor surfaces, while the robust mechanism is designed for years of regular use.

A design with history

The Convertable was originally designed by Lee Sinclair in 1989 and has been made by our family business ever since. The design remains as popular today as it was when it was first launched.

Over the years, hundreds of Convertables have found homes across the UK and around the world, becoming a much-loved piece of furniture for generations of customers.

The Convertable has also featured in numerous press articles and even appeared as a game on the BBC's The Generation Game in 1991.

More than 35 years after its original design, the Convertable remains a great example of what we believe good furniture should be: good design, good making and longevity.
